Just like old times

22 years ago I lost my ability to shrink beyond the smallness of an atom. I can no longer marvel at the people who have made the journey before me somehow frozen in time, lifeless one by one hurled thru a Lucite tube to meet their snowy fate. I can no longer enjoy the snowflakes that towered before me nor can I marvel at the mouse-like molecules that vibrated in such an orderly manner. 22 years ago the best ride in the world was ripped from Disneyland and scrapped.
Adventures Thru Inner Space.

A simple dark ride that made you think "what if." A ride that actually had a story and was good. Not like today's rides where something or somebody has to go missing and you need to find it or the alternate story of something goes wrong and you need to deal with by sitting there and doing nothing. This was a story that worked. Nothing needed to go awry. Nothing needed to be found. It was a journey of discovery. Thats all. Pretty bitchin' if you ask me.
If you are one of the people that miss the ride I suggest you contact www.atommobiles.com I just got my ATIS virtual ride thru and it is fantastic. When you are able to exit the ride and see the tomorrowland murals outside it brings tears to your eyes. I doubt it will bring any satisfaction to anyone if they have never been on the ride but for the lucky ones who remember the ride this DVD is the closest you'll ever get to the actual attraction. Sure the bonehead over at Extinct Attractions has an ATIS fan film but the ride thru is too dark and edited poorly. Don't bother with him. If you do go the route of Extinct Attractions be prepared to beg the jerk to send the stuff you paid for. I had to fight with him for 3 months after my payment and he lied saying hes sending it out. Week after week of lying even at one point saying he sent it. I have no respect for that guy. I have all the respect in the world for Steve the maker of the best ride thru to date!

visit Atommobiles and relive the best ride that Disneyland ever had.

Did they have to take it down because fat people didn't fit in the seats? Just asking....

The only two rides that have been shut down by physical limitations are:
Sleeping beauty's castle WALK-tru and the Submarine Voyage. Both were not Wheelchair accessible. This was taken out to install Star Tours. A welcome trade-off at the time. But now if I had to choose which one stuck around...
It would be inner space.
(Sorry George)

ONLY those two? What about The PuppyMover?

I remember ATIS having a giant eyeball staring at you. I think. I also remember America Sings nearby and the revolving theater.
