Disneyland

Magick Films
Emmapeel007
and Gavin Elster
at Disneyland.

Sadly we mourned the passing of yet another Disney attraction. The Disney Gallery has closed its doors after 20 years. All that is left are these two signs.
Soon to be removed.

Those aren't tennis whites!

Also: note that the top sign is hand painted and uses proper handwriting, while the bottom sign is computer-generated and uses a crappy handwriting font that matches the basic shape of the capital letters but loses the weight and doesn't bother to match the lower case letters at all. And whoever made the font doesn't know how to handwrite a lowercase "s."

I hate handwriting fonts.

Oh, Gavin, you've finally emerged. I'm having lunch with Scotty at the Pacific Club this week, but I promise that I won't blow your cover. I'll say you're still in...um...Europe. My place is always a safe haven if you come back to SF and want to have dinner at Ernie's.

Am I really that "pointy" looking?

Would you consider me "shifty"?

Gavin Elster said...

No you are not that "pointy".

But to rename her Judy and have her stick around in the same city for you to find her again? That's kind of retarded.

Just my humble opinion.

Wat,
Yep I agree. She should not have stuck around. The international ending conveys Gavin fled the country and I'm sure he told Judy she was going along with him. She got screwed and left behind with just a few mementos and that was all.
She was not about to trek back to Salina Kansas in defeat. After all she work at the biggest department store in SF and lives on her own. A cosmopolitain woman to be sure. She just made the mistake of falling in love. Love and Karma killed her.

Good explanation Sherlock! I never thought of it that way! You're so selfish GAVIN! ARGH!

I know yer blog (and the previous one you had) are tributes to VERTIGO, ya need some posts though on the film and crap from time to time to refresh us all...

I thought Vertigo was kind of weak. It's no "Sunday Bloody Sunday" or "With or Without You," that's for sure.

Gavin Elster said...

Wat,
I'll do that. Thanks for the reminder.
