So I've been working on a cost effective way to reproduce the firefly effect that is in the loading area of PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN ride at Disneyland.
There are a few online companies that sell firefly lights but they are at least $200.00 bucks for the base models.
I'm not about to pay that much for some stupid little lights so...
I'm makin' them myself.
I just completed the first three self contained battery powered fireflies for way less than $200.00
(Note: way WAY less than $200.00)
These things look so great. I was testing one out this eve and a neighbor commented on how good it looks.
I'll try and get some video of this soon. Its amazing how inexpensive these are and how damn good they look. I wonder why people haven't done this before?
My sister says I should sell these online.
I just might.
