This is one of the first things I noticed on the LOVE CD, how much more superior and crisp the new version sounds over that horrid Magical Mystery Tour version I've been having to subject myself to years.
Such a great classic song deserved to be cleaned up finally, especially in the bridge section. Finally!
You can't be bothered? You can still here the Martin in this mix. Did you BOTHER to listen? No you didn't you stubborn MF! I didn't post this just for you! I actually posted it with WAT in mind.
So if you cant be bothered with this post ... Its your loss.
Go back to your ROCK/AJD world. Don't you have a flag to plant somewhere?
I thought George Martin DID mix the Love tracks (with his son, right?).
Not that I'm declaring the new version better. I'm a fan of remastered/remixed/redone music, but the new version sounds oddly crisp, almost brittle, to me. At least they didn't normalize the track to death like the horribly clipped music on most albums released in the last ten years.
George Martin did. Scott is just being a goofball. I enjoy the unusual seperation on the original mix. I'm not too excited about the LOVE mix. It seems mixed with a 1990 flair.
